Sr. Scrum Master

Job Title : Sr. Scrum Master
Location: Mountlake Terrace , WA.



 
The Scrum Master will guide and coach Agile teams Agile/Scrum principles, practices and values. They will act as a servant leader, facilitating the team through the delivery lifecycle and relentlessly advocating for continuous improvement in solution quality as well as the team’s Agile and technical practices.
They will develop a trusting, safe and collaborative environment and coach the team to adopt an Agile mindset. The Scrum Master will coach and support scaled Agile principles and practices and help the team integrate its work effectively with supporting teams, identifying and eliminating impediments, and facilitating flow.
The Scrum Master will also participate in leading the client organization through Agile transformation initiatives, providing input and guidance to the transformation team and coaching the client organization to adopt Agile, including Product Management, business stakeholders and IT stakeholders.
This specific position will support the client's infrastructure delivery teams.
Knowledge of and/or experience with infrastructure is preferred.
1. Guide and coach the team and client organization to follow Agile/Scrum principles, values and practices to iteratively deliver value to the organization. Demonstrate continual improvement in team effectiveness and productivity.
2. Foster team health, creating a trusting, safe and collaborative environment; guiding and coaching the team to become self-organized and empowered.
3. Help the team and client organization assess their Agile maturity, including Agile practices, culture and technical practices. Coach the team and client organization to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
4. Radiate Information related to team health and value delivered, identifying gaps, developing new practices and measures, to demonstrate a complete and accurate picture. Coach the client organization to adopt and use the practices and measures appropriately.
5. Support and coach the Product Manager and Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog creation, refinement and prioritization; epic and feature decomposition, writing stories and acceptance criteria.
6. Identify, manage and escalate delivery team and organization issues and risks. Timely and relentless focus and problem solving to prevent or remove impediments and distractions that interfere with the team or organization’s ability to deliver on their goals.
7. Facilitate discussion, decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution coaching the team and organization to improve methods and practices
8. Actively and continuously develop knowledge and skills of Scrum, Agile and coaching practices.
9. Actively contribute to Agile transformation initiatives.
