Job Title : AV Engineer
As the AV Engineer, you are an expert in AV technology and have experience in designing, supporting and driving innovation in AV.
Expertise and experience in planning and building efficient, large scale AV solutions will be instrumental in ensuring a solid platform for future growth and success of our business.
You are accountable for providing premiere technical support to executive level customers and internal clients and vendors including but not limited to all aspects of setup and testing of audio/visual equipment in briefing rooms, troubleshooting audio/visual issues for customers and internal clients and other tasks as needed.
Provide premiere technical support for all briefings, special events and internal meetings.
Technical resource for on-site AV Team. Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors ensuring that they know what is needed from them and what we need to deliver to them. Liaison with AV vendors during trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution and processes all repair orders accurately and quickly to ensure technician response.
Escalates issues and tracks service requests and repairs through resolution.
Request and provide estimates for 3rd party AV vendor labor costs to be incurred i.e. scheduling for equipment, installation and labor.
Assist team members in monitoring and responding to email inquiries and support requests .
Provide premiere technical support for all audio/visual equipment including but not limited to Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Christie, Skype For Business, LED/LCD/Plasma monitors and CMS/TMS systems . Daily maintenance and testing of briefing room audio/visual systems, PC’s, guest devices and hallway interactive displays .
Contribute to and assist in driving a consultative environment with the client through innovation and the continuous improvement of audio/visual technologies. .
Record all issues, customer requests, project work and support calls into the ticketing too .
Assist in creating, updating and adhering to procedural documents concerning logging, troubleshooting and repairing audio/visual issues and problems .
Maintain the facility technology per process and operational standards. .
Able to conduct self and resolve issues in a highly professional manner with appropriate decision-making skills based on the situation.
Work cross functionally with other team members in areas of large events, IT support, Data center support and other areas assigned by management .
This role may require flexible work hours to cover the 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM building operation schedule.
On-call, after hours and weekend as required.
Expert certifications a plus (CTS, Crestron, Microsoft).
Managing Cisco / Tandberg VTC infrastructure. .
Requirements: Minimum 10 years audio/visual support in a corporate environment.
Crestron Certifications and proven experience using Crestron DM, Fusion and RL/Flex systems. Proficient in Toolbox is a must .
In-depth knowledge of MS Teams / Skype for Business products, operational activities and engineering.
Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot signal path for audio and video .
Must be able to read and interpret AV drawings .
Terminate video, audio wiring and category cable.
Experience with networked AV technology including Windows Command Line troubleshooting (tracert, ping, etc.).
configuring IP addresses and Updating firmware and QA testing of AV hardware.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Dante Certified. Experience supporting digital signage platforms.
Familiarity with and ability to troubleshoot various video signals (HDMI, HD-SDI / SDI, VGA, DVI, DisplayPort, etc…).
BSS London DSP. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
