Business Analyst
Key skills:
  • Strong to extensive Medicaid experience
  • Hands on experience working with edit rules in a Medicaid/Medicare claims systems. They need to come with specific examples and not general "I helped with that” or "worked around it”
  • Claims engine experience is tools similar to Plexis Quantum Choice, HealthEdge
  • Experience with Claims Processing, Capitated Payment Reimbursement, or Member Enrollment and Management functions
  • Strong development lifecycle and solution documentation skills

Role Characteristics:
  • Virginia PLMS/OPSS implementation
  • Role Duration is 6 months.
  • The resources will join in Functional solution development and then could transition to the Test team.

Business Analyst works closely with the business and technical teams and is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverable, writes the business and functional requirements .
This person understands business and ensures that there is integration between business and technology.
Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities.
The BA understands development processes – SDLC – and is very analytical with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues
Responsibilities:
  • Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
  • Creates detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
  • Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
  • Partners with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions.
  • Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT
  • Agile Software Development process experience
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst
  • 5+ years of experience in Access, Excel(Advanced), Visio, and MS Project
  • 5+ years of customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation.
  • 5+ years' experience in Healthcare payer, Medicaid and/or Medicare
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

One of the following is a requirement
  • Experience with Plexis Healthcare Systems software
  • Experience with Facets Claims Software
  • Experience with QNXT Enterprise Core Administration Claims Software

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
