Position Role/Tile: VDI Administrator



Candidate must be skilled in standard Virtualize Hosts and Desktop concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks as directed by the customer.
The Candidate is to use a wide degree of creativity and latitude in resolving problems is expected. Typically reports to a customer supervisor or manager.
Candidate must have skill in Citrix and VMWare Hosts and VDI Engineering and Administration. - manages the existing Client Trucks North America (DTNA) virtualized desktop environment by responding to Break/Fix and Request tickets, and works directly with DTNA to engineer solutions that meet the current business needs.
- Responsibilities include supporting and administrating of the DTNA Citrix and VMWare Server Based Computing (Client) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
- Supports DTNA Print Server environments by responding to Break/Fix and Request tickets, which includes all DTNA factory printing and production line support.
- Support the DTNA Virtualize Server Administration of the environment by responding to Break/Fix and Request tickets, which includes support of Client divisions Thomas Built Trucks and Detroit Diesel Corp.
Responsibilities.
• Setup and configure Citrix or VMWare Infrastructure .
• Troubleshoot issues with application teams and end users.
• Setup and configure of applications within the Virtualized infrastructure (Published and App-Volume) • Work with team on troubleshooting issues.
• Document issues with servers and communicate to appropriate teams or individuals using provided methods.
• Monitor performance and maintain infrastructure.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements.
• Experience with VMware.
• Experience with VMware Horizon View and App volumes.
• Experience with Citrix Xenapp 7.x.
• Experience responding to and working in ticket systems.
• Familiarity with Powershell scripts.
• Familiarity with Citrix and VMware environments and Horizon View infrastructure.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks and other network communication protocols.
