Job Description – Principal Engineer
Location: Pune, India
Experience: 12+ Years

About the Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Engineer with deep product engineering expertise to lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance enterprise-grade applications. This role requires strong hands-on capability in C#/.NET and/or Java ecosystem, along with the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities

Define and drive overall system architecture and engineering strategy
Lead design and development of complex, scalable product platforms
Provide hands-on technical leadership in C#/.NET Core and/or Java (Spring Boot, Microservices)
Establish best practices in software engineering, code quality, security, and performance optimization
Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers; elevate overall engineering standards
Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA teams
Drive cloud-native adoption (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and DevOps maturity
Make critical technical decisions impacting long-term product scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

12+ years of strong product engineering experience
Deep expertise in C#/.NET Core and/or Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices)
Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and scalable architectures
Experience building SaaS or enterprise-grade products
Expertise in REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Proven ability to lead large technical initiatives
Strong stakeholder communication skills

Preferred

Experience with domain-driven design (DDD)
Exposure to performance tuning and large-scale systems
Prior experience in high-growth product organizations
