System Engineer - III

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong systems knowledge to validate complex, large-scale distributed and clustered storage systems. This role requires deep understanding of Linux internals, storage stacks, and high availability systems, along with the ability to design robust test strategies for mission-critical enterprise software.
You will work closely with engineering to ensure the reliability, performance, and resilience of systems such as file systems, volume managers, and clustering frameworks.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

Design and execute test strategies for file systems, volume managers, and clustering components
Validate high availability (HA) and failover mechanisms under real-world failure scenarios
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for system-level validation
Test large-scale distributed and clustered environments for performance, scalability, and reliability
Simulate failure conditions (node crashes, disk failures, network partitions) and validate system recovery
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for complex defects and production issues
Collaborate closely with Engineering, SRE, and Support teams to improve product quality
Contribute to continuous testing pipelines and release validation
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote strong quality practices

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

Strong experience in system-level testing (not just UI/API)
Solid understanding of Linux internals (processes, memory, IO, file systems)
Experience with storage systems, file systems, or IO stack testing
Hands-on experience in test automation (Python, Shell, or similar)
Ability to debug issues across user space and kernel space
6–8+ years of QA or systems testing experience
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have

Experience testing high availability (HA) and clustering systems
Exposure to performance and stress testing tools
Familiarity with Kubernetes or distributed systems environments
Basic understanding of C/C++ for debugging or test development
