We are hiring a Controller for a well-established, member-focused Credit Union. This is a full-time, onsite leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial operations, accounting processes, and reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements
Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and financial controls
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure regulatory compliance (banking/credit union standards)
Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership
Implement and maintain internal controls
Supervise and mentor accounting team
Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience in:
Financial reporting
General ledger management
Account reconciliation
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Knowledge of regulatory compliance (banking / financial institutions)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA preferred
Prior experience in Credit Union / Banking industry (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
