The position drives the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks that could impact supply continuity, regulatory compliance, business operations, or customer service. The role acts as the central coordination point between Supply Chain, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R&D, Operations, and external suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience and compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements. This role aligns with BD Rowa's strategic focus on supply chain robustness, supplier risk management, business continuity planning, and compliance governance.
The Supply Chain Resilience & Compliance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining an integrated governance framework for Supplier Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Product Compliance within BD Rowa.
The position drives the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks that could impact supply continuity, regulatory compliance, business operations, or customer service. The role acts as the central coordination point between Supply Chain, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R&D, Operations, and external suppliers to ensure supply chain resilience and compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements. This role aligns with BD Rowa's strategic focus on supply chain robustness, supplier risk management, business continuity planning, and compliance governance.
We are looking for an analytically strong, structured and assertive individual who will centrally manage the topics of Supplier Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning and Product Compliance Governance, thereby ensuring the long-term resilience and compliance of our supply chain.
Product Compliance Governance:
- Coordinate Supply Chain-related Product Compliance activities.
- Establish visibility of upcoming regulations and compliance requirements impacting suppliers and materials.
- Lead supplier communication and data collection activities related to regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate compliance risk assessments and mitigation plans across functions.
- Support implementation and tracking of regulatory requirements such as packaging, environmental, material, and supply chain related regulations.
- Ensure timely reporting and governance of compliance-related activities.
Supplier Risk Management
- Own and continuously improve the BD Rowa Supplier Risk Management framework.
- Maintain supplier risk assessment methodologies, risk registers, and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate identification and assessment of supply, capacity, quality, geopolitical, financial, and regulatory supplier risks.
- Lead regular supplier risk reviews and management reporting.
- Drive risk mitigation initiatives including dual sourcing, inventory strategies, supplier development, and business continuity measures.
- Monitor external risk indicators and coordinate response actions for supplier-related disruptions.
Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Own and maintain the Supply Chain Business Continuity Program.
- Coordinate Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
- Drive periodic reviews, testing, and updates of contingency and recovery plans.
- Support crisis preparedness and response activities.
- Ensure critical suppliers and supply chain processes are appropriately covered by continuity and recovery strategies.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Procurement, Quality, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Supplier Risk Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Continuity Planning
- Product Compliance
- Quality or Regulatory Affairs
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., medical technology, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or similar industries) is desirable
- Professional Skills
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and managing business and supplier risks
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements along the supply chain (e.g., RoHS, PPWR, WEEE, TSCA/TCPH, Responsible Sourcing, ESG)
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects
- Analytical skills for assessing complex risks and interrelationships
- Expertise with KPIs, governance processes, and management reporting
- High level of initiative and self-organization
- Ability to drive complex topics forward in a structured manner
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Assertiveness without direct authority
- Ability to bring together diverse stakeholders at the management and specialist levels
