About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide Project/Construction Management (PM/CM) services as an Owner’s Representative for public-sector construction projects. This role will support essential services facilities, including fire and police stations, through the Design-Build delivery method.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing public-sector vertical construction projects and serving as a client-facing leader throughout planning, design, and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative for assigned projects
  • Partner with city departments to provide PM/CM support and project oversight
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project documentation for compliance
  • Lead project meetings and maintain accurate records, reports, and action items
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Monitor design and construction progress and provide recommendations and status updates
  • Ensure compliance with safety, contractual, and performance requirements
  • Support project logistics, staffing, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues effectively to ensure satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in vertical construction projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience managing public-sector construction projects
  • Prior experience with Civic, Municipal, Justice, Education, or other public facilities projects
  • Experience with Design-Build project delivery

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project planning, design management, construction estimating, scheduling, cost controls, contracts, and project delivery methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder and client management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with project management and construction documentation systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Procore
  • DBIA certification
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record

Compensation:
Base Salary - USD $150,000 to $180,000
