Ice Operator

Shift: Saturday thru Wednesday from 4pm to 12:30pm

*Must have drivers license and closed toe shoes when they come to interview.
*Be sure to screen them about background check and drug test that must be passed.

Must pass pre-employment physical examination to be able to safely able to handle, to lift and otherwise physically manage a 60lbs Dry ice block for the assigned work schedule (typically 8 hour to 10 hours)
Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection safety shoes/boots (metatarsal), and FRC clothing

Shift Coverage and Rotation
Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule. Typically Sunday to Thursday work week, 8 to 10 hours work periods, primarily evening and midnight shifts)
Must be will to follow policies and procedures on proper notification procedures for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, and personal days off
Flexible to support filling in for vacations and emergency shift relief coverage as situations warrant.
Willing to work Overtime as needed or to be called in for assigned work

Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise:
Learn and comply with Client plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies & procedures
Must be safety minded and modeling good safety practices
Works safely in all situations
Performs all assigned work in compliance with Standard Operating and Maintenance Procedures, utilizing current LST. Skills and safety requirements including, safe work permits, energy control isolation and IDL's, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections, etc.
Must be able to learn and follow Client Standard Operating Procedures, follow through on instructions, work with minimal supervision, perform light and routine maintenance, perform basic math operations, and keep accurate records and be diligent in documentation and record retention policies and procedures
Identifies potential maintenance and repair needs and communicate them to the Production Technician
Drive a fork lift and operate a lift jack

Education and Experience:
Demonstrates ability to communicate with both written and spoken English and Math at the 12th grade level
Exhibits mechanical ability
Related warehouse operations experience a plus.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Meets or exceeds the company's safety goals, standards and policies
Fully supports, accurately completes, and maintains Client America's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies & procedures and relevant documentation at the facility

Actively demonstrates identified acquiring skill sets in daily operational duties, in addition
Actively is pursing through self-initiative practices and working with resources made available as coordinated with supervisor
Participates in operational and routine maintenance tasks within facility work group without interruption of customer product deliveries

Assists and works closely with Client's Production Technicians with daily facility needs including
All phases of manufacture, processing and loading finished dry ice in block and pellet form
Washing, cleaning and storing of Dry ice block and pellet boxes
Facility record keeping and documentation as delegated by shift supervisor
Studying Work specific Standard Operating Procedures, P&ID's, PFD's, and all other technical documentation as relates to Dry Ice operational or equipment processes
Completes fully the individual initial documentation for site-specific training needs
Active participation in facility safety meetings and inspections
