Job Description​
Senior Data Storage Specialist with mainframe storage experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. This position is responsible for design, implementation, and support of the mainframe DASD and Tape infrastructure, including: hardware, software, storage replication, and supporting processes. This is a critical position to ensure high levels of availability and performance. 
Duties include: 
• Implementation of process improvements and technology enhancements 
• Support for weekly 24/7 on call rotation 
• Monitoring of storage usage, infrastructure, exception conditions, performance, and ongoing processes 
• Deployment of software and management interfaces including GDDR, SMS, HSM, and TMS 
• Deployment of hardware infrastructure including storage arrays, servers, switches, and associated connectivity • Deployment of programming languages for analysis and system management 
• Participate in technology upgrade projects and team interactions 
• Support of Change and Problem Management policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications 
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience 
- At least five years of enterprise Information Technology professional experience 
Preferred Skills/Experience 
- 5+ years of mainframe related experience 
- 3+ years of mainframe storage administration. 
- 3+ years of platform experience: Client VMAX / DLm 
- 3+ years management software: SMS, HSM, and TMS 
- 3+ years of product experience : SRDF, Timefinder, and GDDR 
- Conceptual understanding of zOS environments and subsystems 
- Proficiency with a language such as SAS or REXX 
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively 
- Competency to analyze system management information and diagnose problems 
- Commitment to continuous improvement
