Summary: This position is responsible for supporting operations management, executing activities related to: planning, organizing, reporting, tools, systems, processes, procedures, communications and contracts for larger, more complex events. This position supports a number of 'clients', including; sales, marketing, services, education, product support and the business units. 

Major Job Duties: 
Responsible for planning larger, more complex meetings that may include but are not limited to: site research, sourcing/negotiations, budget development, air and ground transportation, hotel arrangements, food and beverage, audio visual, registrations and reporting. Should have very hands on experience with the Cvent Tool for sourcing, attendee websites, and budgeting. Interface with cross-functional and cross-departmental teams to understand program objectives. Participate and lead weekly project meetings with events. Lead designated teams on defining event criteria, making sure the overall program components meet business and budgetary goals and provide the most cost effective solution. Effectively Source Venues and Negotiate contracts and serve as the principle point of contact with vendors and contractors. Leverage all existing contractual relationship in support of meetings and events. Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers. Develop and maintain partnerships with Client's suppliers or potential new suppliers. Liaise with internal teams, Travel Management Company and Meetings Management Company on any issues and ensure resolution.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related field preferred. Typically 3+ years of experience or equivalent internship experience in the events field. 

Skills and Competencies: Self starter with strong organizational skills and ability to evaluate and report on a variety of event related data. Ability to understand business needs, consistently meet expectations and respond promptly and professionally to business requests or inquiries, seeking guidance as appropriate. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Cvent Events Tool.
