Position Role/Tile: Java Developer

IRMA Integration team is responsible for maintaining & enhancing multiple operationally critical applications within the supply chain space that are used daily by WFM stores. The main responsibility of the Dev role is to help the team maintain existing legacy applications for the purposes of handling production support (50%), active maintenance enhancements (30%), and new feature development (20%).
  1. Become expert on multiple legacy applications maintained by the team (understand business processes, application behavior, business operation priorities and criticality)
  2. Along with team, participate in daily stand-ups, manage & prioritize work within a Scrumban development environment
  3. Prioritize production issues for triage/trouble-shooting by self and/or team
  4. Assess business requirements, operational scenarios, review upstream/downstream flows, impacts & risks.
  5. Participate in sprint planning, estimations, dividing stories into tasks, design & code reviews.
  6. Design solutions that will enhance and maintain operability of business critical applications.
  7. Plan, execute and manage unit testing (Manual & automated such as jUnit, etc)
  8. Drive delivery of projects within assigned deadlines working with Client, Testers, and technical partner teams

  1. Need-to-have:
    • Familiarity & hands-on experience in Agile development environment
    • Object-oriented design & analysis skills
    • Proficiency in developing in at least one OO language such as .Net/C# or Java
    • Experience with creating & executing xUnit tests (jUnit etc.)
  2. Nice-to-have:
    • UML/Visio diagraming skills for rendering use case scenarios/understanding designs etc.
