Role Overview:
From a Business Systems Analysis (BSA) standpoint, the role entails gathering, documenting and analyzing business requirement for a re-write of an less than satisfactory ERP implementation. The key expectation is that the Business Requirements Document (BRD) that has enough functional and technical detail for a technical team to turn into a Functional Design document. The business requirements will pertain to all aspects of an ERP solution including, but not limited to Account management, Order Entry, Order Management, fulfillment, forward and reverse logistics, financial management (A/R, A/P), etc. The BSA will also need to conduct an assessment of the current ERP solution to identify features that are good versus not-as-desired in order to help provide inputs on improvements and enhancements in the new version.


From a Solution Architect (SA) standpoint, the SA will need to conceptualize a high level data flow and user experience between the ERP platform and other back end systems that support and manage various business function processes. This will involve designing and developing data flow diagrams, business process flows, actor and process based use case definition.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 12 -15 years of experience in leading business solution requirements and design efforts
  • Experience defining and designing ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of account management, order management, fulfillment, financial management, pick/pack/ship processes, forward and reverse logistics and associated application features
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise gathering requirements from a diverse set of business users that represent different functions
  • Experience negotiating conflicting requirements between different business users
  • Ability to design and run requirements gathering sessions
  • Exceptionally good documentation skills, including representation in words, diagrams, tables and charts
  • Experience translating business requirements to high level technical approach solutions
  • Knowledge and experience with use case definition
  • Concise and crisp communication so as to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills including designing and developing PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to synthesize an abundance of information and break down to meaningful, critical and useful information
  • Project management skills including managing the scheduling of such sessions, managing issues, risks and action items
  • Effective time management and knowledge of when to escalate concern areas
  • Experience developing data flow diagrams, process flows and data mappings
  • Strong in Visio, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
